Description: The Latina/o Caucus participated in several immigration-related protests targeting the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) policies on HIV. An entry ban on people living with HIV was introduced in 1987 and was in place for 22 years. The detention of HIV activists trying to enter the U.S. instigated several protests.
